GovDoc Service
The OCLC GovDoc service, available to regional and selective depository libraries, provides up-to-date, MARC-format cataloging records for U.S. government documents. Holdings are set on OCLC.
As a GovDoc subscriber, the library regularly receives bibliographic records for only the government documents it holds. GovDoc is available to all federal depository libraries, OCLC membership is not required to use the service. GovDoc subscribers receive monthly updates as electronic files, plus printed cards if desired. The Library chooses only the items for which it wants cataloging. Records are available for everything that the US Government Printing Office produces. GovDoc automatically registers your holdings of these cataloging materials in WorldCat adding your OCLC symbol to each record.
