The cost of LANDing it there

The cost to participate in LAND is $4,650 per stop per year, plus a one time start-up fee. As part of the program, Nylink will issue each participating library reusable bags for shipping to your LAND partners. The start-up will cover the initial supply of bags that each library will be issued.

We have put together the following chart as a guideline for what would be considered a light, medium, or heavy ILL user. To determine which category your library falls into, calculate the number of ILL transaction your library has in one year.

On your information profile, indicate which category your library falls into so the appropriate amount of bags can be issued to your library.

Institutions with more than one library on the same physical campus will only be billed $2,000 per year for each additional stop after the first location at $4,650 has been established. This only applies if the libraries are on the same physical campus. Additional stops will incur the same start-up fee as if they were the original stop on the campus.

However, institutions with multiple campuses will be charged $4,650 to start up service at each campus. The courier views each location as separate even though they share the same name.

Billing for LAND will be on an annual basis from January 1st to December 31st. However, if you decide to join the service part way through the year, the price of your subscription will be prorated on an annual basis.
