How to Get to The New York Public Library

Enter New York Public Library on the 5th Avenue entrance between 42nd and 40th. This is the main entrance of the library with the lions. Once inside, take a left and walk 30 feet. You will see a doorway to your right with a translucent walkway. The sign above the door reads “Celeste Bartos Education Center, South Court.” If the class is in a classroom these are to your left once over the walkway. The auditorium is down the flight of stairs to your left at the bottom. There is an elevator that reads staff only. If you require an elevator to each the auditorium let a staff member know and they can assist you.

1, 2, 3 or 9 train to 42nd St. and Broadway. Walk two blocks east to Fifth Ave.
A or C train to 42nd St. and Eighth Ave. Walk four blocks east to Fifth Ave.
B, D or F train to 42nd St. and Sixth Ave. Walk one block east to Fifth Ave.
4, 5 or 6 train to 42nd St/Grand Central Station. Walk two blocks west to Fifth Ave.
7 train to Fifth Ave.
