Lifeline: Building Your Community Support System

Whether times are good or bad it is vital that we have a built in system of supporters for our institutions. These could be trustees, friends groups, faculty, local governments and of course our users. Building good relationships requires time and energy but is well worth the investment, especially when the hard times come! In this session we will learn how to identify support groups, explore techniques for building and maintaining relationships, explore ways to get these groups to advocate for us and recognize the import role our communities play in our success.

After this session you will be able to:

  • Identify community support groups.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with your community.
  • Advocate for your institution.

Please be prepared to participate in group activities and discussions during the webinar.
