Handy Keyboard Shortcuts for Connexion Client Users
Did you know that in addition to the client specific shortcut keys, some standard Windows keyboard shortcuts can be really handy in the Connexion client? Many client users are already familiar with using CTRL+C to copy text, CTRL+X to cut text, and CTRL+V to paste text, but there are a few other shortcuts provided by Windows that do some interesting and helpful functions in the client. For example, you can use CTRL+TAB to quickly switch between a displayed record and list, or a displayed bibliographic record and an already displayed authority record (without closing any windows).
One of my favorite shortcuts is the mouse right click. This opens a context-specific mouse menu, from which you can choose to take action on whatever is displayed. I use this to quickly select all records on a local file list, so that I can take action on all records without having to fool around with selecting individual records, or using SHIFT+LEFT CLICK (on mouse), then scrolling & finally, clicking on the last record desired to select contiguous records on a list. Next time you need to select all records on a list, give it a try!
