OCLC WorldCat Collection Analysis: New “Quick Start” Guide

OCLC announces a new resource for recent WorldCat Collection Analysis (WCA) subscribers. OCLC has developed a WCA Quick Start guide with the aim of helping new subscribers experience a couple of “quick-wins” using the tool. New subscribers will receive a link in their WCA welcome email to the Quick Start landing page, at http://www.oclc.org/support/documentation/collectionanalysis/scenarios/default.htm.

Here new subscribers can choose from six brief scenarios (three for individual subscribers and three for group subscribers). These scenarios illustrate some basic tasks that can be accomplished by any new user. These tasks are designed to familiarize new users with the WCA interface and stimulate their interest in more advanced features available via the WorldCat Services Administrative Module.

More advanced user education resources like Best Practices Scenarios and WCA Speakers Series presentations are available on the WCA home page at: http://www.oclc.org/collectionanalysis/default.htm.
