OCLC Web Information Sessions
Is there an OCLC service that your library doesn’t currently use, but you’d like to find out more about? Sign up for an OCLC web information session - they’re free, and they’re delivered live to your desktop via the web and conference call. Specialists from OCLC provide hour-long introductions to their services, and since the sessions are live, you can get your questions answered right away. Here’s a list of upcoming OCLC webinars:
OCLC ILLiad | Wednesday, October 18, 2:00-3:00 p.m., and Thursday, November 30, 3:00-4:00 p.m. OCLC ILLiad helps libraries that are high-volume users of the OCLC Resource Sharing service streamline their workflow, and improve response time and management — all from patron initiated, paperless requests. This session is delivered by Tony Melvyn, OCLC’s ILLiad specialist.
QuestionPoint | Thursday, October 26, 3:00-4:00 p.m. QuestionPoint is OCLC’s web-based cooperative virtual reference service, providing email and chat reference tools, with an option for your library to be part of a 24/7 chat collaborative that provides round-the-clock reference service.
